My Top 3 Paper Craft Secrets for Creating Successful Cutaway and Insert Cricut Cards
- Choose a simple Cutaway design. When looking through Cricut Design Space, look for a design that does not have a lot of little, tiny letters or images that need to be cut out, unless you are prepared to sit there for a long time and patiently get them out. Because I love to make quick and easy cards, I didn’t want to give myself the headache of painstakingly removing each little cutaway piece. So I chose simple designs with large cutaway pieces.
- Purchase the Cricut Card Mat and Cutaway Cards or Insert Cards packs to get you started. Later down the track as you become more confident with designing the cards you could use your own card stock and paper that you have in your stash to create your own sets of Card Packs. That would be a great way to use up older stash that you have in your craft room!
- Instead of cutting the four corner slits out for Insert cards try gluing the insert card to the back of the front of the card instead.
