Flew to Japan to grind matcha
Been loving matcha since skinny jeans were still in, and it wasn’t until now that I got to grind my own matcha in the matcha capital of the world: Uji, Japan.
As a part of my morning ritual, I whisk matcha and pour it into a glass cup with oat milk and agave and sip on it while stretching (and checking Slack messages) before my workout. I honestly don’t feel complete without my matcha latte to start the day!
This was the matcha grinding experience at the Chazuna Museum in Uji. We learned so much! Like did you know that matcha comes from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant? The instructor was so lovely and even asked if Sam and I were on our honeymoon because we were giving honeymoon energy I guess.
