Never thought I’d be collecting dupes but…

If you missed the legal update, I FINALLY got the retailers who were carrying dupes of my Pirouette Skort to take them out of their stores. They were like, “okay, we’ll just destroy them” and I was like uhhh no you can’t do that and that’s the story of how I ended up with a warehouse full of Pirouette dupes!

Like… I hate dupes and I never thought I’d be collecting them but when it came to destroying perfectly good clothing I had no choice but to save them.

With THOUSANDS OF DUPES piled up at my warehouse (of which I have to pay extra for storage), I now had a different problem

That’s when I reached out to my friends and incredible fashion designers Tracy Garcia and Kiana Bonollo to see if they wanted to help me do something cool with the dupes…and that’s how the Popflex Upcycle Project was born!

I am BEYOND MINDBLOWN at what Tracy and Kiana did with the fabric! Like . We created kits for anyone wanting to take a stab at making these dresses themselves. The pattern is digital and I send all the fabric you need! I wasn’t sure what to expect as far as interest goes BUT THEN…

YOU SOLD THEM OUT IN 5 MINUTES. At first I was told “in less than an hour,” but no. Five minutes. Ummm do I need to fill my warehouse with dupes again?!

If you purchased, THANK YOU! 100% of all profits from your purchase will go directly to Tracy and Kiana because this project isn’t just about taking a stand against dupe culture, it’s about STANDING UP for independent designers too.

I hope to have more good legal updates for you this year!
