V4 Of My Swim Romper Is Here
V4 of my swim romper is here and it’s the best one, hands down.
The Popflex Riptide Romper
My original swim romper design was inspired by the 30s to 50s because that’s when swimwear with more coverage was actually done WELL. So many of the more modern designs with more coverage are just soooo unflattering for the female body. So back to vintage swimwear we went!
My version was originally a high-neck halter with a low back (and pockets duh). In the second iteration, I lowered the neckline, swapped the halter for two adjustable spaghetti straps, and added the adjustable crisscross back. The third iteration had a very small change that made a huge impact. I added soft boning to the back opening for more structure when you cinched yourself in.
And now… the fourth iteration.
I heard your feedback. You’re sick and tired of the square neckline, spaghetti straps are too thin, and you want more support but still want it to look dainty.
I think you’re gonna looooove the 2026 version of the Riptide Romper. I ditched the square neckline for a sweet V, added a double spaghetti strap that loops over into that crisscross on the back (adjustable! More support!), annnnnd I traded in the gold end caps on the straps for gold ocean-inspired charms! The pockets are here to stay obvi.
I’m wearing size XS (one size down from my normal small bc I wanted it cheekier and I wanted a lower neckline), but it’s true to size so you do not need to do that esp if you’re looking for coverage!
